Against the urban based renaissance of 19th century, a kind of sense of collective spirit and secular values pregnant with humanitarian conscience developed in the folk-thoughts influenced with the thinking and philosophy of the Yogis, Tantrics, Vaisnavas, Sufis, Bauls, Kabials and Boyatis. Their austerity was enriched with the humanitarian thoughts, positive strategies and tolerances as per various sources and thus a merged philosophy of "superiority of human" established. The West-influenced fragmented renaissance in19th century had no authority over the vast grassroots level Bangladesh. But the secular philosophy of the rural ascetic austere, Moromia and Aul-Baul-Fakir created an affluent, secular and collective national sensibility.
