Abstract

The spiritual devotees in different regions of Bangladesh and India lead a kind of majar (mausoleum)-centered sphere of austerity. What are the experiences or learning of the common people visiting majars or how majar-culture influences the life of the common people? In addition, how religious perspectives are woven in the life style of South Asian inhabitants? These are the key questions that drive this article to discuss the spiritual life of a Bangladeshi woman. It reveals how a woman goes through austerity. It included the description of a Bangladeshi rural woman's austerity by travelling across regions and becoming enlightened.
