Abstract

The "Belt and Road" initiative has created new requirements for "non-common language" training in China's education. This article provides and introductory account of Bengali language teaching in Chaina. It discusses the current situation of Bengali-speaking students in China, and gives suggestions about the strategic significance of training those students who learn Bengali in China. It explores the challenges Bangla language teaching and training in Chaina and the significance of learning Bangla language and culture in the current context of implementation of a lot of mega projects in Bangladesh, with huge engagement of chinese work force and their engineering technology. It highlights the necessity of widening the application of Bangla language in practical local and global development angles and communication diversity where chinese youth who learn Bangla can contribute effectively.
